‘Raw Mango’ Natural Benefits and Curative Properties


 Mango is the king of fruit. Raw mangoes are all Sweet, Sour every thing nice. every body like raw mangoes as well as ripe mango (sweet). Mango is tropical fruit.

Sour, unripe mangoes are used in chutney, Pickles and prepare Vargulu ( in Telugu), in Hindi Aamchur is famous. Cut the raw mangoes sliced and add salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder, and dry the mango slice in the Sun. After two are tree days the Aamchur or Vorgulu will be ready to eat. Pickle made from raw, unripe, pulpy and sour mango, mixed with chilly powder Mustered powder, salt and ground nut oil. Raw mangoes are used in preserves such as Aamcur (dried and powder unripe mango). Unripe mango may be eaten with salt.

Preparation of Aamchur or Mamidi Vargulu:

Gradients:

  1. One cup of raw mango sliced finely.
  2. Two to Tree tsp of salt
  3. One tsp ofturmeric
  4. Two to Tree tsp of chilly powder.
Method: Take the raw mango slice it finely add salt, chilli and turmeric powder and mix well. Let it sit overnight. Cover the bowl. The next day, it will ooze some water. Squeeze out that water and dry the mango slices in the sun. After two or tree days of drying, The Mamidi vorgulu or Aamcur will be ready. You can store it for more than a year. When you want to use it, soak the pieces in water for two hours with a little turmeric and use it.

  • Raw mangoes are also good source of B vitamins that are beneficial to maintain good health, it can be used in preparing numerous dishes.
  • Presence of Vitamin C in raw mango, they are highly beneficial in strengthening immune system.
